Hey, I’m Madeleine Potter, PMHNP.

Thanks for stopping by!

I’m an integrative psychiatric nurse practitioner who blends science with soul—grounded in evidence-based medicine but curious about all the ways humans heal. I draw on my training in integrative psychiatry, medication management, neuroscience, and psychotherapy, and pair it with lived experience, somatic tools, and holistic modalities to support the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I believe healing happens in relationship, and that feeling seen and safe is not a luxury—it’s the foundation.

My background includes training at Vanderbilt University and clinical work in diverse settings, from reproductive psychiatry to community mental health to eating disorder treatment. I’ve worked in fast-paced medical, law, and food service environments and now prefer a slower, calmer baseline. Whether I’m leading a breathwork practice or managing complex medications, I approach this work with deep respect for the human condition and a belief that healing isn’t linear—but it is possible.

This work is personal to me. I know what it’s like to be high-functioning but miserable inside. I spent years stuck in anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and rigid perfectionism—convinced that if I just tried harder, I’d feel better. I believed medication wasn’t for me until I experienced, firsthand, how powerful it could be when paired with the right support. That journey reshaped how I practice—and inspired me to become the kind of provider I wish I’d had.

Now, I help others find their way through.

I believe in science, in spirit, in laughter, and in meeting people exactly where they are—with humility, curiosity, and a little bit of magic.

I’m inspired by the principle of Tikkun Olam—the Jewish belief in repairing the world through compassion, justice, and care. That’s what I strive to do in this work: to create a space where people feel safe to be exactly where they are, and supported in becoming who they’re meant to be.

When I’m not working, you can find me moving my body—I’m a certified yoga teacher, a devoted pilates practitioner, and lately I’ve been getting into weight lifting (we love strong bones). I love hosting casual dinners or spontaneous hangs with close friends, getting lost in Nordic design books, or curating Pinterest boards full of beautiful things. On weekends, I’ll often head to Forest Park or, if I’m lucky, out to the Gorge for a hike. I also believe in the therapeutic power of a well-made martini with girlfriends—Andrew Huberman says two drinks a week is fine, so here we are. I’m endlessly curious about people, aesthetics, and what makes us feel alive.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unseen—I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
